When I were a lad we would hollow out the marrow and then mix it up with sausage meat and oninos and ketchup and then stuff back inside the marrow and cook.
Few friends of mine remember this culinary delight as well but we all remember it stopping when we were about 6 or 7. For some reason our parents decided that enough marrow meals had been made and I haven't had it since.
Maybe I'll cook some this weekend...
